Pursuant to Section 143-131 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the Town of Chapel Hill's Parks and Recreation Department is requesting bids from qualified contractors interested in constructing Bolin Creek Greenway reinforced concrete stairs with stone facing and performing trail improvements and maintenance to the Bolin Creek Greenway in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications.
Sealed proposals for the Bolin Creek Greenway Improvements shall be mailed to: CoCo Hall, Purchasing and Contracts Manager, at 405 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Chapel Hill, N.C. 27514, until 3:00 P.M on Tuesday, December 3, 2013.
A Pre-bid Conference will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 9:00 A.M. in the Chapel Hill Parks & Recreation Conference Room, 200 Plant Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27514. All contractors who will submit a bid to the Owner are urged to attend. Failure to attend will not constitute grounds for a misunderstanding or mistake regarding the bidding documents. Additional questions can be submitted in writing via email to Bill Webster at bwebster@townofchapelhill.org until 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Reponses to all received will be published on the Town's website at www.townofchapelhill.org in the form of an addendum on Thursday, November 21, 2013.
Bids should be mailed to: Coco Hall, Purchasing & Contracts Manager, 405 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Chapel Hill, NC 27514. Bid proposals are due on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 by 3:00 P.M. Submittal questions should be directed to Coco Hall, Purchasing at (919) 969-5025 or email at chall@townofchapelhill.org. Bids may be hand delivered to our temporary physical location at 143-A West Franklin Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27514, however it is important to note that this is not a mailing address (bids may only be mailed to the 405 MLK Jr. Blvd address).
Technical specifications and drawings are available on the Town's website at www.townofchapelhill.org under Bid Notices and "Bolin Creek Greenway Improvements". The technical specifications for this project are included on the contract drawings and in a separate file.Please include a completed and signed bid form as attached with base bid plus alternates if any. The Town of Chapel Hill reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason or no reason and to accept the bid most favorable to the Town of Chapel Hill.
